We have posts about our desks/work spaces but what about the chairs that we all sit in? I would post mine but I am currently in the market for a new one to finish my new office. I would love to see what types of chairs you guys use before I make my decision.

That's what we have at work, they're definitely worth it if you can spare it!

£900 for a chair?! does it do your work for you as well? must be one seriously incredible chair to merit that price
  • dobi

its possible to find them in good shape used, especially in cities. my lady found mine for half the price.

i also once found a bedroom set from crate and barrel in mint condition worth about $5000 (two dressers, two night stands, mirror, king size bed frame) for $500.

I sit in my office chair 3X as much as I sit anywhere else, definitely worth it in the long run.

What's really good about it out of curiosity? I have a standard £80 office chair that my dad gave me when I started out and I don't really notice it either way so I just think of a chair as a chair but I've never had a really bad one or a really good one to draw comparison from

    I've got a shitty hand-me-down chair now..
Both the arms broke off.. The one time I actually bought a chair, my big ass broke the seat in half. Since then it has been repaired with several screws and 2x4's

My favorite chair is one I nabbed from the old Chrysler plant that closed down by me.

One day, I will invest in one of those fancy chairs Rob has..

I'm a fat dude, so maybe I notice it more. When I sit in a crappy chair my back will hurt, my legs would sometimes fall asleep after a few hours, my back will sweat, and I feel like I can never get comfortable. When I sit in my nice chair I feel like I'm floating, no real pressure points, and I can adjust everything to the exact place I want it.

After having a nice chair for 3 years now I could never go back.

I have this one in black

Might seem expensive but when I'm tethered to a chair most of the day I want it to be comfortable.

i did that once too, walked 1/4 mile down train tracks carrying it. that chair sucked.

Ha, I guess I got lucky.. It is just my painting/studio chair now..

My buddy grabbed 2 huge tricycles out of there.. those were awesome. Super heavy duty bike tires and large baskets on the front. Unfortunately, his van was broke into a year later and they were stolen.
