It would be sick to have red and blue for the lenses.

isn’t it just another photo from this shoot converted to one color?

    i don’t get it.

if i designed this i wouldn’t expect any praise for being original or technically prowessed. but for someone running a business and keeping an eye on trends, paper root picked a great iconic image to capitalize on. Im usually not into stuff thats overly satirical, but i dig this image and the era.

Thanks Derek, you basically summed up what PaperRoot is all about. There is alot of great graphic designers out there that make great t-shirts, but you don’t have to be a great graphic designer to make great shirts. We definitely try to keep with trends and use interesting screen-printing techniques, so it is not always about showing off the technicality of the design, but just making sick shirts in an interesting way. 3D people is printed with discharge inks that remove the color from the shirt, so it feels like no ink at all. Quality is very important when it comes to t-shirts and alot of the really technical designs that end up getting printed may have a ton of colors and inks used, which would probably make the shirt feel like your wearing a chest of armour on you. In fewer words, there is alot of ways to make cool t-shirts. And i like how this is an open forum to discuss all these things. Thanks for Looking

Nope. He was misinformed that the ink on his shirts is discharge.

Most likely waterbased. Discharge won’t bleach out plastic – that’s the whole point.

Nope, Jimmy is wrong. I did use discharge inks. These inks can work with any fabric, you have to test them first though as they do not work with some of the colors, in other words, results may vary unless it is 100% cotton. Plus i print everything myself, so it would be hard to be misinformed by myself, HAHA.
