new blogging site about the indie apparel industry
Posted April 26th, 2015 by miles to go
Hey everyone.
I've started to write articles and pull out old ones about running an indie apparel brand on http://milestogogreg.com
Currently, I have links to my AID podcast interview, what to expect when selling at the pool trade show, targeting stores vs selling at a trade show and my 15 tips for new entrepreneurs posted.
I plan to tackle wholesaling tips like line sheets and working with reps, printing tips and things to be aware of when getting tees printed and other such stuff relating to our industry.
If you are into the twitter, follow me @milestogogreg
I'll be posting links to new articles as they come out.
If you have a topic you'd like me to write about, let me know.
dig.

I'm going to hire someone to get the site working easier. When on an article, if on iphone, I know you can view it with the reader, but getting the site functioning easier is a goal. I'm just trying to get some content up right now and then I'll get the site working better. My WP skills are very limited, so I recognize the flaws for sure.

i thought nobody used RSS feeds, how often do you check them? out of curiosity? what sort of content do you receive from them?

Haha I'm probably pretty old school. But yeah, I use an RSS reader and I log in everyday. I have a bunch of RSS feeds that I'm subscribed to and I see all the new stuff posted on each sites.
I think if you want to do RSS feeds but at the same time, want your audience to go to your site, like some of the ones that I'm subscribing, they only show a short version of their blog post and have a Read More link where you're directed to the website to read the full article.

thanks! of course I made them mobile size, so I need to start making them larger for anyone on a computer that will scale down. I'd been meaning to make those and just went for it.
working on hopefully getting two interviews with other company owners working too.
