I didn't wanna be that guy, but I looked for like, 10 pages back and didn't see one of these recently. So, let's show off some web stuff.

I just got fired from my agency job, so I'm back to freelancing. Might stay this way. So, I had to revamp my website and logo.

The new site looks great Rusty! The freelance market for web design is pretty good right now, so I am sure you'll find work in no time.

By the way, the navigation links don't work when you're viewing a portfolio items single page. Example: http://www.rustyeight.com/portfolio/web_ebb.html

It honestly depends on how willing you are to stay up to date on web technology. It changes so quickly that if you don't stay on top of it, it'll pass you by.

We did a site redesign on teemagnet.com a few months back. I rebuilt everything and added a ton of features, like artist themes, etc. The site is 100% custom sql, php, ajax, crons, etc. It is all edited via a custom interface for ease of updating.

We did another Website last year for the german division / team of the hundreds. Sadly this baby never went live because they changed their PR Strategy for Europe. Still lying on our Test Server.

thanks! i see what you mean about the drop down being a little odd. i'm not 100% on it just yet. as you can see by the lorem ipsum in some spots, it's still a bit of a work in progress. i appreciate the feedback though and will be taking that into account while finishing up the site!

Yeah, such is technology. My biggest thing is I know basic html concepts but not sure if I want to further that knowledge or just stick to basic print design.
  • Vokesy

So much creativity here. Really making me want to dust off my old html/css skills.

I'd say go for it then. If you're able to think logically and in a structured way, it may work for you.

Although, I will say that you don't need school to learn to code. Check out http://www.w3schools.com and http://www.codacademy.com . Both are free learning and reference tools.

And, I always vouch for learning more than one trade in this industry. Stay flexible.
