My job outside of running Dead Era is consulting companies on their social media presence. My brother and I have developed a pretty tried and true formula for blowing up a Facebook page in a matter of hours. We launched our brand almost entirely on social media, and the results have been incredible.

We're thinking about setting up a day (for free) to explode as many brands onto the scene as possible. Comment here if this is something you would be interested in participating in. If we can get enough people interested we'd love to give a little bit back to the design community that inspired and assisted me in launching my brand!

EXACTLY HOW IT WORKS: You post something viral on your page that relates to your brand. It doesn't have to be something you've created (though it can be) -- the Internet is a vast sea of amazing images. We share that image on one of our megaphones. It isn't paid likes or anything like that, it's just a cool little instrument that we've had a lot of success with.

I don't want to annoy the forum with this post, so I'm locking it -- If you're interested, please send me an email to mac@deadera.com and I'll help you out!

i'm curious how people do this without being a) obnoxious b) doing shady shit (fiverr)

i have always been the worst w/ social media despite having ideas i never end up executing, i feel like i'm just annoying people w/ news that actually isn't news.

I'm a Marketing major at USC. One of my internships was at a social media marketing firm that taught us how to effectively use content curation techniques. It's not shady -- we just share your post to a community of 2 million people, and those who think its cool will check you out, and if they think you're cool they like you! I'll take a screen-shot when I blow up the CX City page. I'd like an example, and it's always really fun to do it with a new brand.

    Haha, yeah, I understand.

For the record, we're not doing anything sketchy. It isn't fake people or anything, we are just optimizing a major megaphone that we have an alliance with... It's simple, innocent stuff, but it's pretty awesome!

would be cool if the stuff you post about your brand got that many likes to haha.

Yeah, that's the real challenge... Product images aren't viral, unfortunately... Well, at least our's aren't. We're looking for ways to improve our product presentation.

I'm ready... to be blown up.

I would be very interested in this opportunity. I'm working on a new clothing line at the moment and could really use some exposure.
