10/10/12 - Known issues we're working on: Tag viewing is all messed up

We're now offering a way for you to get your tee hundreds of thousands of additional views from the community. Mintees tee designers will now notice little blue flags or buttons around the site when you're logged in and viewing a tee you've posted.

Currently, the price to promote your tee is $7 for 7 days.

Your tee is highlighted green (instead of the normal gray) and randomly placed on the first page of each of our Tees listings. You can schedule your Promoted Tee to start whenever you'd like and it will run for 7 full days.

What will a Promoted Tee look like?

Examples of buttons you'll see on your own tees:

What do I get?

Your tee will be highlighted and displayed on the first Tees page for seven full days.

Cool ways to utilize this feature:

  1. Increase physical tee sales

  2. Promote the sale of the t-shirt design

  3. Get more feedback on your design

  4. Drive more traffic to your profile

    THIS.

yeah that is a good idea

The standard of designs being promoted run the risk of making the community selected tees standard redundant. With obvious exceptions, a selection of designs currently promoted (youll know them when you see them) feel like they are being promoted merely as a way to bypass the approval system.

Yep. My thoughts as well. Only allowing approved designs the ability to upgrade to a promoted tee would of course mean less money coming in, but at least it'd keep the sucky stuff out.

screw it if they want to pay for it let them, it will only last for awhile. plus putting them in a box appears more like a advertisement and would lower the effect compared to mixed in the whole page.

agree with this. Promoted posts get on my nerves, i don't want it to escalate the way tumblr has with promoted posts

This is our take on the general consensus from this thread. Yay or nay?

I like it.....I also think we need to be able to FLAG the all tees section like we used to be able to in the emptees days.....it really has become a landfill instead of a nice place to peruse designs

Glad you like it. I need more votes on this change ASAP so we can come up w/ a decision!

As far as flagging "All tees" goes, it kind of contradicts the entire idea. You never would see these tees in the first place if we didn't add this section, so I'm not sure why you'd need to curate them at all. If something is truly heinous and the mock is jacked and blurry or it's a duplicate, notify a moderator and they know they can axe it!

yeah it does seem contradictory for sure...it just seems like a quality thing in that section...just gives not much of a reason to look at it.....not sure what the fix would be
  • Bedlam77

that looks alot cleaner and straight forward for the viewer. voted
