    Yup, sad times.
  • Luke Tarrant

Too many people are loving Dallas' solo stuff for him not to have want to leave. Were a great band though

I'm shattered :( their live shows were so damn good! I think it's time for me to get a tribute tattoo
  • dekkytsh

The people that bitch and moan and say they dont care about AOF are the people who listen to bands who rip them off.
  • heat.

I remember when I was a kid and first listened to "Caliber Love Letter", "waterwings" and "pulmonary archery" that was so goooooood.

Totally bummed out by it, was listening to crisis before I read it.
I was there for their live album shows, only time I saw dallas out sang was the Birmingham live album show with Saosin.

    Seriously gonna be missed.
  • TheUTee

glad I got to see them live. wish this didn't happen. self-entitled and watch out, good stuff
  • DRTYAPPAREL

Being Canadian, this upsets me greatly. Dallas has been putting on a lot of free shows locally around where I live. I do love his solo stuff, and he played a big part of AOF. To me, he was the "balance" the "ying" to the "yang"
  • bmoore

long time fan, definitely sucks they broke up. glad i got to see them live.
  • BatemanBex

Gutted! They've made the right decision though. They really wouldn't be the same band without Dallas. Like DRTYAPPAREL said, he was the ying to the yang. I suspect City and Colours rise had a lot to do with this.

There's a lot of blogs etc saying Wade is going to replace Frank Carter in Gallows.
  • i came from nothing

Heard of them, never heard them.

Now that would REALLY be interesting.
  • CMYKBRAD

One of the first albums I ever bought. Still a favourite.

I was never able to really get into these guys. Played a few shows with them way way back in the day but it never stuck with me beyond a 1-2 songs off of the album with the bird on it.
  • Serji Gold

I only saw them once when they were playing a free show in downtown Toronto with Metric. Not really a fan, but I know who they are.

Exactly! I just read the link article and I didn't realize that City And Colour was spawned from one of its members. Silly me.

I've never heard this band but I've always wanted to know, is it:
    Alex is on fire?
    or
    Alexis on fire?
  • HighFive

    Alexis on fire :)

And man am i gutted... saw them in 2006, still the best concert i've ever seen
  • David Mottier

Iam disgusted... Saw the five times and was waithing on their next full lenght album... Sad
  • Craig Robson

so wade is the new gallows front man now.

Alexis on fire - named after a contortionist called alexis fire I believe.

This sucks they were one of my favourite bands to see live.
