Hey Guys,
I am looking for the best resources for Illustrator tutorials. FREE tutorials to be specific. I can't afford lynda.com so I can cancel that one out now. You guys know any good ones?

I found the best way to learn illustrator (for me) was to throw myself in the deep end and just play. Its really not a hard program to get involved with, and if there is a technique or process that youre stuck with, just google.

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I should have been a bit more specific. I am not a beginner. I have been using illustrator for years, I just like to constantly learn new things/techniques and push myself to be better. I am looking for tutorials for an experienced user. Maybe some good stuff by a real "pro" who could teach me something new.

This one goes over a technique for coloring in illustrator, that's pretty speedy.

Basically use your line work to cut a solid into smaller shapes using the pathfinder/merge button then lock your line work and shift select the shapes and color them. Works good for flat color.

If you want to add depth, you can wand tool (y) any color. right click arrange/move to current layer any selection of a color group. (You need a layer to move them too obviously), This will arrange your colors into sep layers. Then paint over or under it like you would in photoshop.

Im not sure how to do this anymore now a days, wether master hand skill in drawing or master the buttons in AI. There are somethings that I do that (in my opinions) is really good on paper, but when I try to "digitalize" things, it ends up like a low-budget 3D cartoon movie.
