This is your last chance to sub some shitty work. Even stuff that Mintees rejects

http://www.teeproject.com.au our standards will rise soon so hurry! haha

Also Tee Project picks from most popular designs for the month so for any other quality designs, sub now and give it a good chance to make it into the top 10!

On the last day of the month... based on comments votes for that month.. so people in early in the month have a slight advantage. There will be a shift in the top 10 over the next week or so as last months popular designs head south out of the top 10.

I subbed mine at the end of last month, just wondering if that means I'll be out of the top ten or not?
    Thanks in advance!

If you consider them shitty designs, then why should anyone submit them? I mean, if its shitty then its not going to make the top 10 anyway. You'd be better off just implementing the new standards now.

Hey bob... Awesome question. Your 'human energy' design has seen enough action this month so my guess is that it will be in the top 10 by the end of the month. I hope so too... deserves to be in the mix.

Your totally right mate. Im working on setting up a forum in which I can better communicate with members re quality of designs (rather then communicate on Mintees and clog up the blogs)

I really like y'alls site. I need to sub there soon

quick question: are you getting all the copyright to print stuff like this?

or should there be rules about likenesses and catchphrases and all that intellectual property jazz?

How are those top 10 being picked? It almost looks like number of votes instead of rating?

It might be more difficult, but what I did with ShirtFight to choose the top 10 was to do a weighted sort based on rating *and* number of votes. That helps you see what's both popular *and* a good design.

There were a few designs up there that shouldn't even be close to top 10...I know that no system is perfect, but glad to see you're constantly trying to improve it, good luck!

The 2 biggest flaws are one shitty designs which leads two the second problem having pre agreed to print one of those shitty designs. I've seen this alone kill several good sites.

This can be avoided with standards as you said up front, or by ignoring votes and hand picking shirts that don't suck.

I can understand wanting to let everyone play but one of the disadvantages a designer has doing work for a contest site is that unless a house style has been established it's a total coin toss. Which means you don't exactly get the cream of the crop to put it nicely.

Just tell us in your blog what you like, and drop some not so sublet hits about what will never get printed ever in a million years and what might catch your fancy. If the designers are not complete boobs, they will get the hint and shape up pretty quick.

You can help out the odds by making signups to vote obsolete or 1 click easy with one of those facebook-y deals.
Its like going to an office and seeing a sign that says gone fishing back in 15. Most people won't do that for ya.
You want a sign that flashes nude ladies live 24/7 open happy hr at 10 ladies night on friday. Whatever get's er done.

For the artist you want to let go of the artwork lickety quick. 30-120 days to hold onto it is a bit retarded imo.
The internet is instant remember, so no exude to dilly dally.

    Just my 2 cents.

Awesome feedback, I know the system is not perfect and it sucks not seeing the top 10 show the true top 10. As the membership grows I hope it irons out this problem, if not.. I will step in.

Quaker - Awesome 2cents. Trust me when I say I will NEVER make a pre agreement to print a design. I agree with you about giving away not so subtle hints about what designs will and wont be picked. We launch our Forum soon and will be far easier to do this then. I have no interest in watching someone compete who only ever subs dark skull designs (as I have no plans of picking one).

we had planned to hold peoples artwork for 30 days.. BUT changed plans to not hold at all.. did you read this on the site? if so I will edit, thought I had. You can sell your artwork before the end of the month and its easy to remove from our site.

We have spoke about the voting in another blog, and decided for now it is best for the site that people have to go through the process of a sign up.

Again thanks for feedback helps a lot!
