weight loss
Posted December 5th, 2009 by Integral
Might be random as hell, but I can finally start wearing XL AA tees. For the last year or so, XXL was pretty tight, almost needed to always have a coat on or something, but now its loose like Jenna Jameson!

its hard to tell sometimes though unless you measure your waist or have one of those body scan scales that can work out whats fat and whats muscle.
if your exercising as well as eating healthy, you will lose weight by burning calories but at the same time your turning fat into muscle and muscle weighs considerably more than fat.
took me quite a few months but i managed to lose 42 pounds, then put 14 back on from being ill, so trying to lose again!
its a vicious cycle :) hehe.
congrats on your weight loss, integral.

Yea man, I have always been a pretty stocky, muscular dude, but moving in with my girlfriend and getting lazy added an easy 30 lbs. I didn't notice it until I saw some photos from our cabin and it showed me I need to get on it.
Basically, I used the Live Strong Daily Plate website and helps track your calories and fat and all that.
I am doing a KETO diet for lifting which is a way to deplete your body of carbs most of the week, and then you carb up 1 or 2 days a week on your heavy lifting days. So I take in no more then 1800 cals a day and try to burn at least 600 a day via cardio and lifting. So I bought a food scale, measure all my food, removed soda and beer(eek) and anytime I want a snack I try to eat a cup or two of mixed nuts, so at least I am getting protien. It feels good guys, thanks for the comment, now to buy some new tees!
Here is a photo from this summer, first time I had real LOVEHANDLES...ick!
Here is my lightest weight in collge, would love to be back at 190! I am 4th in the pic.

depends on your BMI

Yea you'd be suprised how someone that has 100 lbs of extra weight can loose easy and kill that idea. Biggest loser has prooven that you can lose healthy amount of weight and keep muscle.

just keep it up man!
also, make sure not to be like Jarod from Subway and start gaining it back. Saw this in the news a couple days ago, seems like he is slacking on the Sub sandwiches.

when i moved in w/ gf (now wifey) i ballooned up to 217 just because i ate like shit and didn't exercise. when we got married we took stuff a little more seriously, working out / hiking on a regular basis.
i now float around 192 and run about 22 miles a week. losing weight is basically just sticking to a 2000 calorie diet / working out regularly. that is it. avoid fast food like the plague and don't eat after 7pm.
Integral said about 11 years ago
The 7pm thing is hard tho, baby steps baby steps lol. Cutting out regular soda I think helped a lot too.
I appreciate all the kind words and tips, its an uphill battle but the journey is fun! (that sounded so gay lol)

190 is awesome for me, everybody thinks i weigh less but i have had huge legs my entire life. even when i was all state in track over 10 years ago i weighed like 183, so low 190's and i'm almost 30 years old ain't bad.

Damn! Good job bro, I think 190 now with my muscle mass would be pretty small for me. The weight that made me scream was when I saw 242 pds, and I am only 5'10"! Once I knew I was gonna hit 250, I had to do something. Last time I checked it was about 227, I would like to see what I look like at 190. Hopefully I'll keep people posted. But the diet for the last 2 months or so has no changed to a lifesyle and feeling good. I want to get back into amateur bodybuilding so we will see. Bikini photos coming soon!

some people will always be a bit bigger, and some will always be a bit smaller, such is life.

Thanks folks! I hate running, I would rather put the treadmill to a 6 or 7 and walk at a 4mph then run, I hate my lip and cheeks bouncing seriously!
I actually signed up for an indoor half triathlon, in february. so hopefully I can get my average mile under 9 mins and I should be good to go!
molasses4masses said about 11 years ago
I hated it until this spring. Now, I hate it when I have to walk instead of run. Also, you burn way more calories running than walking (I think it's 30% more). A step back in vanity now is worth it to look and feel better in the long run.

You're right about that SWH :)
Dang so awesome dudes! I too just got down to an XL in AA from 2X in AA. Since I work from home now and have kids it's hard for me to get away for the Gym at times so all I did was do 2 non-carb meals and 1 healthy carb meals a day for the last month or so. Along with Tae-Bo in the morning mandatory and sometimes 2 a days in the evening.
Coke Zero with dinner and switched sweet n low in my morning cup of joe.
Definitely agree with Dobi about not eating after 7 and staying away from Fast food.
*Good Eating Out Tip @ A Mexican Joint*
- For all you mexican food lovers. Cheese dip w/jalapenos is very low in carbs just not with Chips. So just apply it to your Chicken Fajitas and instead of tortillas ask for Lettuce they use for lettuce wraps. Also exnay on the beans and rice. Eating fajitas alone with Lettuce will fill you faster and leave you satisfied longer ;)

I wonder about the beans and rice, maybe its those beans but you can go to KFC and get a two piece dinner with two sides for under 400 cals, which is pretty good, but they recommend red beans and rice which is suprisingly one of the best things on their menu. I will definitely keep everyone posted, hopefully I will be around 200 lbs or so by early spring. Good luck everyone else as well with this battle of the bulge (thats what she said).

I was up to 280 at one point, and made it back down to 240 for the last year and a half. While I felt comfortable at that weight (I'm 6' 1"), I just made the decision last month to lower it to 200. So far, so good - I'm at 234, with only Christmas dinner to stop me now. haha
Only problem is, what the hell am I gonna do with 200+ t-shirts when I can fit an XL?

Thanks, I will show an updated pic soon, lost another 4-8 pds since the last post, feels good to see my collar bone again!

I'm back up to 185 now. Ideally I'd like to get down to 175. In addition to the running and swimming, I picked up cycling and yoga this year which has been incredible for me.
Lastly, invest in a Vita-Mix! Never ate so many veggies until I got this thing! Vegetable soups ftw.
